These terms cover the rehnumaawaz.com website and the Rehnuma Awaz text-to-speech software for Windows (NVDA add-on), Android, iPhone, iPad and Mac (together, "Rehnuma Awaz"). We have written them in plain language. By using Rehnuma Awaz, you agree to them.

Who provides Rehnuma Awaz

Rehnuma Awaz is developed by Centangle Interactive, funded by Ignite National Technology Fund and supported by the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Government of Pakistan.

What Rehnuma Awaz is

Rehnuma Awaz is a text-to-speech engine for Urdu and English. It provides voices to screen readers, such as NVDA, TalkBack and VoiceOver, and to other apps that read text aloud. It is not a screen reader itself, and it works alongside the screen reader or app you choose.

Using Rehnuma Awaz

• Rehnuma Awaz is free for personal, educational and non-commercial use, on as many of your own devices as you like.
• Organisations such as schools, universities, charities and government offices may install it for the people they serve, free of charge.
• Please download Rehnuma Awaz only from rehnumaawaz.com, Google Play or the App Store, so you get a genuine, up-to-date copy.
• You may not sell Rehnuma Awaz, its voices or its dictionaries, or present a modified copy as the official software.

Voices and content

The voices, pronunciation dictionaries and software of Rehnuma Awaz remain the property of their owners. Some voices and components come from open-source projects; their licences are included with the software and continue to apply.

No warranty

We work hard to make Rehnuma Awaz accurate and reliable, but we provide it "as is". We cannot promise that it will be free of errors, that every word will be pronounced correctly, or that it will work with every device, screen reader or app. Where a reading mistake could cause harm, such as with medical, legal or financial information, please do not rely on Rehnuma Awaz alone.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that arises from using, or being unable to use, Rehnuma Awaz.

Your privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

Other websites

This website links to sites we do not run, such as Google Play, the App Store and social media. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Rehnuma Awaz after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

The laws of Pakistan govern these terms.
